Cookie Policy

What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file saved on your device when you visit a site. It lets the site remember your sign-in or your preferences. Your browser’s local storage plays a similar role.
Our approach
Optimal Lap uses no analytics or advertising cookies, and no third-party cookies. We only set cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work, which do not require your consent.
Site traffic is measured with Umami, without cookies and without storing anything on your device. Details are in our privacy policy.
Cookies we use
All of these cookies are set by Optimal Lap:
- optimal-lap.sid: API sign-in session. Not accessible to JavaScript (httpOnly). Lifetime: 7 days.
- NEXT_LOCALE: remembers your chosen language. Lifetime: 1 year.
- prefs: remembers your display preferences. Lifetime: 1 year.
- optimal-lap-auth-token: remembers your sign-in state. Lifetime: 7 days.
- AUTH_CRED_SHOP: display permissions for your account. Session cookie, deleted when you close your browser.
Browser local storage
We also use your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device:
- cookie-consent: remembers that you have seen the cookie information.
- Display preferences: keep your interface settings.
- Dismissed announcements: avoid showing a banner again once you have closed it.
Managing and deleting cookies
You can reopen the cookie information at any time with the “Manage cookies” link in the footer. You can also delete or block cookies and clear local storage from your browser settings. Without these cookies, signing in and some preferences will stop working.
To learn more about your data, read our privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
